Relevant Bylaws

Bylaw No. 822 - Village of Ashcroft Official Community Plan Bylaw (PDF)
The Official Community Plan is a statement of objectives and policies to guide decisions on planning and land use management, within the area covered by the plan, respecting the purposes of local government.
The Village of Ashcroft Zoning Bylaw is the principal document which regulates how a property can be used, what type and size of buildings may be constructed, the size of lots that can be created and required parking for vehicles.  Also within this document are business facade guidelines for the downtown area.
Bylaw No. 630 contains regulations as well as a fee schedule and application for a business licence.  There is a minor amendment to the Bylaw relating to Cannabis Reatil sales.
Bylaw No. 785 sets out the fee schedule and regulations surrounding Solid Waste Collection, Removal and Disposal. The Bylaw includes residential, commercial and industrial fees.
Ammendment:  Bylaw No. 798 - Solid Waste Amendment Bylaw. 2015
Bylaw No. 796 sets out the fee schedule and regulations surrounding sewer connections within the Village.

Bylaw No. 755 sets out the fee schedule and regulations surrounding water connections within the Village.
Bylaw No. 808 sets out the fees and charges for recreation and administrative services available to the public.

Development by Northern Development Initiative Trust, the Community Profile highlights certain statistics and other information that may be useful for a party looking to invest in, move to, or visit Ashcroft.
Downtown Revitalization program funded by Northern Development Initiative Trust that provides a grant of 50%, up to $5000, for improvements made towards a business' facade. Details and eligibility is explained within the guidelines.  Deadline to apply is November, 2018.
Economic Development Strategy developed by Urban Systems, highlighting Economic Development Action Plans, Baseline Study of Economic Opportunities, and a Community Profile. It was created in 2015.

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District provides building inspection services for the Village of Ashcroft. The building regulations thus are TNRD Building Regulations, last updated in 2005.
